Islamic University, Bangladesh: A brief history:-
Islamic University (EB), Bangladesh is one of the most government universities located in Kushtia. This is the first university established after the independence of Bangladesh, which It was established on 22 November. The university is working with the aim of providing higher education with Islamic education and modern education. Here is a bachelor’s and postgraduate degree in science, engineering, technology, business administration, law, social science, humanities and especially theology and Islamic law.
Campus of the university 3 acres of land And it is located between Kushtia and Jhenaidah districts. There are about 5 students studying here, of which there are 5 graduates and 2,5 undergraduate students. Academic activities began in the 5th, And currently at the university There are 5 departments under 5 faculties. In the future, there are plans to increase the number of departments up to 5.
The main features of Islamic University:-
Educational activities: EB offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various fields including engineering, biological technology, pharmacy, business administration, law, and humanitarian issues. In particular, it is the only university in Bangladesh where special degrees are provided on theology and Islamic law.
Research and Innovation: EB teachers have made significant contributions to international research. Notable innovations include the cultivation of Evening Primrose flowers using low -cost home security systems and biomass.

Islamic University’s historical importance:–
The idea of establishing an Islamic university was raised in the early 20th century. After independence The government announced its establishment in the 5th. At first it was operated with the help of the Islamic Conference Organization (OIC), but later it was fully funded by the government. It was temporarily shifted to Gazipur due to some challenges in the 9th, but it returned to Kushtia’s current campus in the 5th.
Islamic University, Bangladesh has been playing an important role in higher education and research. It is contributing to national development and the excellence of education at the international level with the combination of Islamic education and modern education.
